About the Engagement
We are seeking a versatile, highly analytical Senior UX Design & Analysis Contractor with 8+ years of professional experience to support fast-paced, high-impact client projects across Big Tech, enterprise SaaS, financial services, and healthcare/MedTech verticals.
In this role, you will manage and execute complex UX design and strategic analysis projects, operating as a trusted advisor to clients while bringing rigor and discipline to understanding digital experiences. You will work across a mix of deep-dive UX analysis, insight visualization, and design support for a wide variety of user research projects, delivering clear and beautifully designed executive presentations, journey maps, personas, and UI audit repositories.
The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker who can systematically deconstruct interfaces, document user pain points, and thrive in short, intensive project bursts while producing meticulous, client-ready work under tight timelines.

- Hours: Variable / Project-based
- Location / Time Zone: 100% Remote, US-based
- Compensation: TBD
Key Responsibilities
- UX Analysis & Structural Assessment: Systematically break down digital experiences to surface hidden user pain points, assess and improve UX across multiple rubrics (usability, user fit, aesthetics), and recommend strategic improvements.
- Information Architecture & Interaction Design: Analyze and optimize digital experience structures, site maps, navigation hierarchies, user flows, and interaction models to ensure intuitive navigation and task completion, rapidly translating findings into conceptual wireframes or prototypes.
- Insight Visualization & Report Design: Create visual assets that bring research insights to life, including journey maps, personas, task flows, and executive presentation decks.
- Structured Evidence Gathering: Methodically gather, organize, and annotate interface evidence, building highly organized visual repositories and structured data models.
- AI Interaction Critiques & Practice Support: Apply understanding of emerging AI usage patterns to analyze and critique AI-driven features, support client workshops, manage multiple design projects simultaneously, and contribute subject matter expertise to improve UX practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Interaction Design, or UX Strategy.
- Tools & AI Fluency: Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets for structured scoring, matrix logging of usability friction, and data tracking, alongside fluency in modern design and collaboration tools, paired with comfort using leading AI tools to critically assess AI experiences.
- Communication & Fast-Paced Execution: Thrives in short, intensive project bursts (2–6 weeks) and produces meticulous, client-ready work under tight timelines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, HCI, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Visual Design, Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent experience (Master's or higher preferred).
Application Requirements
- Work Samples / Portfolio: Applications should include work samples demonstrating UX analytical discipline and deliverable design quality, such as annotated documentation of user flows and friction points, detailed structural critiques or UX assessments, and journey maps, personas, or complex task flow diagrams.
